Nancy Gaye Mosttler
Nancy Gaye Mosttler, 69, died January 11, 2017 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. She was born on July 17, 1947 in Grand Island, Nebraska the daughter of Ben and Geneva (Bissell) Ewoldt.
Nancy was raised in Thedford, Nebraska and attended a country school close to her home. She moved to Montezuma in 1976. On September 7, 1985, she married Walter Mosttler. Nancy worked as a cook in several area restaurants. She also loved to bake, especially cakes for weddings and birthdays. Nancy was very creative and enjoyed drawing. Spending time with her grandchildren was something that she loved doing.
She was a member of the Christ Church of Sublette.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Walter Mosttler of Sublette; three children, Blake Heady and wife Marcy of Kalvesta; Brenda Mosttler and husband Kenneth of Sublette; and Domonique Mosttler of Sublette; one brother, Bernard Ewoldt and wife Rita of Valentine, Nebraska; six sisters, Carol Dubs and husband Art of Ashby, Nebraska, Rose Condos of Log Lane, Colorado, Ann Guinard of Aurora, Colorado, Merry Jones and husband Willard of Strasburg, Colorado, Margie Daniels of Hershey, Nebraska, and Alee Tucker and husband Bob of Copeland; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Blane and Brad Heady; and one grandson, Lancy Heady.
Funeral service will be held at Sublette American Legion on Wednesday January 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Erwin presiding. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Tuesday January 17, 2017 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Nancy Mosttler Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
