Nancy Brooks

Nancy Brooks, 75, died, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society – Liberal, KS 

She was born June 15, 1940 in La Mesa, CA, the daughter of Francis and Susie (Zimmerman) Thompson. 

In 1958, she graduated from El Cajon High School El Cajon, CA. 

She was a homemaker for most of her life and had retired from Walmart as a checker, overnight stocker and a door greeter. She loved spending time with family, playing games, walking, listening to music and dancing. She found great companionship in her cats that she loved dearly. 
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Liberal. 

On July 7, 1958, she married George Robert Brooks, Jr. in San Diego, CA. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1996. 

Survivors include: 

2 Daughters Cynthia Ramirez and husband Gabriel Liberal, KS 
Debi Flores and husband Jesus Liberal, KS 

1 Brother Dan Thompson Liberal, KS 

1 Sister Lydia Dillon Ukiah, Oregon 

8 Grandchildren Christalina Estrella; Jennifer Rose; Christopher Ramirez; Elizabeth Olivas; Oscar Gomez, Rosalva Gomez; Jesus Flores Jr; Christian Flores; 9 Great Grandchildren Izek Olivas; Armando Olivas; John Rose; Evelyn Rose; Timothy Rose; Silas Rose; Isabella Estrella; Alonso Nunez; Damian Nunez. 

She was preceded in death by Parents, Son, Robert Eugene Brooks, Brother, Frank Thompson, and 2 Sisters, Grace Wiley and Coral Maxwell. 

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 27th at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Arlen Ankle officiating. Burial will follow in Liberal Cemetery.  

Visitation will be 1-5 pm Saturday and 1-5 pm Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home
