Myah Elizabeth Murtha
Myah Elizabeth Murtha, our blue eyed baby, age 2 1/2, was taken from our world on July 12, 2016, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Myah was born on November 29, 2013, in Brandon, Florida, to parents Jessica Weakley (Estrada) of Hugoton, Kansas and the late Stephen Murtha of Killeen, Texas.
Myah was a rambunctious, high spirited, full of energy and easy loving little girl. Her blue sparkling eyes mesmerized everyone she met and she was loved by many. She was often referred to by her family as the “Tornado” or “Cindy Loo Who”. Myah loved spending time with her family especially her cousins, giving them lots of hugs and kisses. She enjoyed watching the Croods and baseball while at home with her mother and stepfather, Blane. Myah enjoyed the many trips to the Library for Story Time with her cousins and great-aunt, Judy. As often as possible Myah loved spending the night with her grandma and cousin, J.J. Myah delighted in the time spent with her extended family on holidays and special occasions.
Myah is survived by her mother, Jessica Weakley and stepfather, Blane Grogan of Hugoton, Kansas; half-brothers, Michael and Ryan of Dallas, Texas; maternal great-grandfather, Sabas Cerecero of Hugoton, Kansas; great-grandmother, Eloise Estrada of Brawley, California; grandparents, Flora Estrada and Francisco Saldana of Hugoton, Kansas, Ray and Leticia Estrada of Satanta, Kansas; paternal grandfather, Kerry Murtha of Killeen, Texas; aunts and uncles, Becky and Jon Pollom of Temple, Texas; Rita and Josh Conley of Hugoton, Kansas; cousins, Alli, Brandon, J.J. and Rae; and many great-aunts, uncles, and countless cousins.
Myah is preceeded in death by her father; Stephen Murtha; grandmother, Michele Murtha of Killen, Texas; great-grandmother, Ann Lane of Riverview, Florida; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Mary Cerecero of Hugoton, Kansas; great-uncle, Adam(Amos) Cerecero of Aguilar, Colorado; great-grandfather, Ray Estrada of Granada, Colorado; and great-aunt, Dora Kyger of Hugoton, Kansas.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 200 E. 6th St., Hugoton, Kansas. All are welcome. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton, Kansas.
