Mrs. Carren Kay Foster

Mrs. Carren Kay Foster of Ashland, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 73 at Ashland Health Center. Carren was born to parents Carl and Dena Fischer on July 5, 1943 in Valentine, Nebraska. She grew up the youngest of twelve. Carren married Aldon Foster in May of 1963. They moved to Ashland, Kansas in 1970. Carren was employed at Cusick Locker Plant, The Ranch House, USD 220, and retired from the Ashland Health Center in 2007. Carren loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, cooking, and long visits with her grandkids.

Carren was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dena Fischer, six brothers, two sisters, and her daughter, Melanie Foster. She is survived by her husband, Aldon Foster of the home; her son, Richard Foster of Ashland, a granddaughter, Iva Foster of Ashland, a grandson, Jonathan Foster of Ashland, a sister, Arleen Kercher and husband Ralph Kercher of Sedalia, MO, a sister, Lillian Wollery and husband Chuck Wollery of Helena, MT, and numerous nieces and nephews.
