Movement to Establish Finney County Landbank Slowing Down
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) As Garden City and Finney County continue their discussions on the use of a landbank. The design is to out dilapidated properties back on the tax rolls when owners are delinquent in paying their taxes. City Manager Matt Allen says although a desire is there to move forward things have stalled a bit.
The discussion is now centering on whether an oversight board is necessary or can be done another way.
Allen assures the public there is a tremendous amount of work being done to see if a landbank is viable.
