More honors for Faulk; named NJCAA defensive player of the year

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Jeremy Faulk has a busy last 10 days.

On December 7, Faulk was in Waco, TX taking an official visit to Baylor. A few days after that, he was named a first-team NJCAA All-American.

That was only the beginning.

Wednesday morning, Faulk officially inked a national letter of intent with Art Briles and Baylor right before the national office unveiled that the Florida-Atlantic transfer had won NJCAA national defensive player of the year honors.

“One year ago, he was at home trying to figure out what he was going to do,” Head Coach Jeff Sims said. “Now he’s where he’s at because he trusted the process. I’m so excited for him.”

Faulk becomes the first Broncbuster player since running back Frank Murphy to be named national player of the year.
