Melvin L. “Corkey” Kirk, age 74, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on August 11, 1939 in Guymon, Oklahoma, the son of Roy Roscoe and Marguerite Lillian Fankhouser Kirk. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2003 moving from Grand Prairie, Texas, he was a US Navy Veteran and a career US Army Officer with the rank of Sargent First Class.

  • Betsy Kirk of Scott City, Kansas

  • Clifton Kirk of Milton, Florida
  • Gale Kirk of Licking, Missouri
  • One Sister Aleece Collamore of Waxahachie, Texas
  • Special Niece Sapphire Kirk of Dighton, Kansas
  • Four Grandchildren Sara, Amanda, Travis & Larry Jr.
  • Four Great Grandchildren Elizabeth, Dakota, Caleb, & Justin

He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Sister and One Brother.
