Melba L. Shelton

Melba L. Shelton, 88, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her home in Dodge City. 

She was born October 21, 1927 at Sewal, Iowa, the daughter of Oliver and Trilbey (Thomas) Brees. A Dodge City resident since 1981 moving from Meade, she was the former Meade County Clerk and also worked at ALCO and Wal-Mart until retiring in 2010. 

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and playing cards. 

Survivors include: her 4 children, Oliver Nusser, Phoenix, Arizona, William Nusser, Pueblo, Colorado, Phyllis Manni and husband Marc, Deary, Idaho and Cathy Glaze, Minneola; 3 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. 

No services are planned, cremation has taken place. 

The family suggests memorials to the Disabled American Veterans in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
