Mayor: Pleased With Garden City’s Growth–More to Come

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)  Mayor Roy Cessna gave his state of the city address today at the chamber breakfast from Southwind. The theme was growth while being fiscally responsible.

Several new stores will be open up next month at Schulman Crossing bringing the city more revenue.

Cessna pointed out contractors are building and it is not just at Schulman Crossing.

Cessna mentioned improvements to both the zoo with the addition of Cat Canyon and the airport, but housing remains the last major hurdle to pushing economic development.

Monday we will wrap up with a glimpse of what Garden City could look like in 5-10 years.
