Marshall Courts Last Minute Voters
(westernkansasnews.com) One of the main difference between Independent candidate Alan LaPolice and Republican Roger Marshall is the Trans-Pacific Partnership or TPP. LaPolice opposes the agreement while Marshall thinks the deal can benefit Kansas Agriculture.
Marshall thinks House Speaker Paul Ryan is a man he can work with if elected.
One of the main issues during the Republican primary was that Western Kansas did not have representation on the House Ag Committee. Now that Marshall has defeated Tim Huelskamp, he has received assurances he can get the seat.
Marshall has been criticized by his general election opponent Alan LaPolice that he is not committed to reducing the debt and deficit. It is a criticism Marshall deflects.
Both candidates are trying to shore up support before Tuesday’s vote.
