Marie J. Kolbeck
Marie J. Kolbeck, 84, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.
She was born January 26, 1931 at Wright, the daughter of Andrew and Grace Agnes (Tenbrink) Vogel. A lifetime area resident, she was a manager for Burr Butler Insurance in Dodge City for over 40 years, retiring in 1996. For many years, she played the organ at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Dodge City.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.
On April 23, 1951, she married Delmer Kolbeck at St. Andrew Church in Wright.
Survivors include: her husband, Dodge City; five children, Kent Kolbeck and wife Evelyn, Garden City, Doris Meng, Dodge City, Kathy Denhardt, Dodge City, Kay Kolbeck and husband Frank Cecil, Dodge City and Suzie Bollig, Dodge City; a daughter-in-law, Debra Kolbeck, Dodge City; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Vogel, Hutchinson; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Reed and Rick Kolbeck; three brothers, Harold, Stanley and David Vogel and a sister, Yvonne Sauler.
Vigil Service will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with Fr. Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Windthorst. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
