Manuel Robles, 52, died August 26, 2016 at Denver, Colorado . He was born on February 8, 1964 in Jalisco, Mexico the son of Eliseo and Luisa Robles.

Manuel J. Robles was a native from Mexico who came to California in 1980 to live the American Dream at the age of 16. He started to work in restaurants as a dishwasher until he got to the position of head cook. He juggled three jobs and was always working to provide a better quality of life for his parents and younger siblings in Mexico.

In 1991 he moved to Dodge City and put his passion and knowledge for food into what would become a success in Dodge City. Along with his older brother they opened up Taqueria Mexico. The first years were very difficult but with his business man vision and his mother’s original recipes he kept going. In 1993 his hard work finally started to pay off when he was able to purchase his first rental property. He kept both business going and growing for about 16 years and even when he became successful he never forgot his roots or why he was working so hard.

Manuel treated everyone equally and was always helping those in need. He was thankful for having had the opportunity to come to this new country and always felt right at home in the United States. Sadly, Taqueria Mexico closed its doors around 2009 but he continued to grow his rentals and in 2010 he joined the Boot Hill Casino team as a cook so he could continue doing what he enjoyed.

In 2013 he decided to retire from the food industry to become a full time entrepreneur. During his journey, he was able to form friendships and do business with those that like him, God gave the opportunity to have a successful professional life. Manuel left behind 8 siblings and too many nieces and nephews to count who loved him dearly. He will be remembered for his good heart, big smile and great sense of humor.
