Man Wanted For Domestic Abuse Chased Down by GCPD

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A domestic dispute leads to a vehicle pursuit Tuesday night shortly after 9 that leads to an arrest of a 26 year old man from Garden City.  Witnesses say the incident began on the 1700 block of 8th street where the suspect later identified as Eli Mendoza pushed a woman during the argument and into an apartment.  

Once inside Mendoza is accused of battering the woman again, taking her cell phone and then fleeing in a car.  The chase ended when Mendoza’s car careened into the bushes on Rebel Road.
