Man arrested in Dodge City for alleged murder
Dodge City, Kan.–In a release Friday morning, the Dodge City Police Department has announced the arrest of a man for an alleged murder, after a reported domestic violence situation on Thursday.
Officers from the Dodge City Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Longbranch for a reported domestic violence situation. When Officers arrived, they found 76-year-old Leandro Huizar-De Los Santos suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers and EMS attempted to render aid. However, Huizar-De Los Santos succumbed to his injuries and died on the scene.
While on the scene, officers arrested 41-year-old Juan Huizar-Rojas for the alleged murder of Huizar-De Los Santos.
A criminal case will be filed with the Ford County Attorney’s Office. The DCPD reminds everyone that all suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
