Man arrested in Dodge City after chase
Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Tuesday night a man was arrested in Dodge City after a chase for a stolen vehicle. At 5:20 p.m. a Ford County Deputy saw a vehicle that had been reported stolen near Highway 50 and County road 102 that had been in a pursuit in Gray County.
When the deputy initiated his emergency equipment the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The pursuit went south on 102 Road going into Gray County briefly then back into Ford County on Marshall Road. The driver traveled east on Marshall Road into Dodge City. A Dodge City police officer failed to disable the vehicle with a tire deflation device.
The driver continued east onto to Marshall/Beeson Road until stopping at the intersection of 14th and Beeson. From there he was taken into custody without further incident. The driver was transported to Ford County Detention Center.
