GARDEN CITY (Southwind Broadcasting) – The Garden City Police Department say they arrested a man on aggravated assault.

According to the GCPD, officers were dispatched Saturday around 1:05 P.M. to the 2000 block of Crestway Drive for a disturbance involving a man reportedly breaking windows and chasing people with a bat.

Upon arrival, officers located Deacon Johann (36), Garden City, KS, holding a wooden bat. Johann refused to listen to drop the bat, allegedly walked closer to the officers, and attempted to swing the bat. Johann was taken into custody.
