Man Accused of Kidnapping, Battery of Girlfriend

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A man accused of beating his girlfriend and holding her against her will for a couple of days was arrested by Garden City Police on Wednesday. The 44 year old victim was held at a residence on the 1600 block of George Street and managed to slip out when the suspect was asleep.

The woman was taken to St. Catherine Hospital for her injuries. 34 year old Eraso Mario-Diaz Gomez was booked into the Finney County jail and will potentially face battery and kidnapping charges.

Garden City Police also report a man threatened to burn down a house with the victim inside during a domestic distrubance Wednesday night on the 700 block of Inge Street. Upon arrival 59 year old Juan Ayala is accused of resisting arrest and struggling to the point one officer received minor injuries.

Ayala is expected to be charged with aggravated battery and assault on an officer and making a criminal threat.
