Maclovia “Mac” Gutierres

2902386Maclovia “Mac” Gutierres, 86, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City. 

She was born October 11, 1928 at Arkansas City, the daughter of Jess and Francis (Galicia) Ramirez. A Dodge City resident for the past 69 years, she was a housekeeper. 

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Altar Society both in Dodge City and was a volunteer for St. Jude Hospital. 

On August 3, 1946, she married Carmen Gutierres at Wichita. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2008. 

Survivors include: 2 sons, Jesse and wife Carolyn and Mark and wife Jennifer all of Dodge City; a brother, Bob Ramirez, Apple Valley California; 5 sisters, Francis Blea, Dodge City, Clara Gutierres, Wichita, Martha Mendez, Dodge City, Rosie Mendoza, Salina and Victoria Shore, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Tracy Gutierres, Celeste Buehne and husband Terry, Marcos Rey Gutierres and Joseph Rey Gutierres; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Jess, George and Alex Ontiberos and a sister, Mercy Dominquez. 

Vigil service will be 7:00 pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with Fr. Terrance Klein presiding. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City. 

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
