M. Blanche Salyer

M. Blanche Salyer, age 101, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas.  She was born on July 1, 1913 in Fellsburg, Kansas, the daughter of J.L. and Agnus Carlin Burden.  A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1934 moving from Lakin, Kansas, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Garden City, Kansas.

On December 24, 1936 she married Emil “Sally” Salyer in Garden City, Kansas.  He passed away on April 26, 2000 in Garden City, Kansas.

Survivors include his Three Sons – Gary & Carolyn Salyer of Garden City, Kansas, Ray & Vicki Salyer of Surprise, Arizona, Van & Anita Salyer of Garden City, Kansas, One Nephew – Kenny & Connie Harsha of Garden City, Kansas, Seven Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren and Five Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Two Sisters  –  Beaula & Geraldine and One Brother – Donald.

Private Family Funeral Services will be held at a later date with Rev. Denise Pass presiding.

Memorials may be given to the Presbyterian Church Or Friends Of Lee Richardson Zoo %Price & Sons Funeral Home

Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
