Longmeyer: Dodge City Commission Backs Arts Program
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Dodge City is pushing the arts and took a big step forward at the city commission meeting earlier this week.
City Public Information Director Jane Longmeyer knows part of this drive for arts in public places is fueled by the new Heritage District downtown. The new program will receive funding from new capital improvement projects through city issued bonds.
Longmeyer notes a new Doc Holliday statue is expected to be unveiled in the next couple of weeks outside the Boot Hill Museum.
