Long Branch Lagoon Exceeds First Year Expectations
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The numbers do not lie. By all accounts the first year of the Long Branch Lagoon Waterpark in Dodge City was a huge success.
Dodge City Parks and Recreation Director Paul Lewis was happy about the waterparks reach beyond Dodge as a regional attraction.
The city will devise some sort of tracking system next year to find out where all the visitors to the waterpark are coming from. This is only the beginning for the exciting additions around the park.
With the popularity of summer softball tournaments in Dodge City, Lewis believes adding the waterpark is another incentive for attracting teams to play there.
