Lois Jane McMullen

Lois Jane McMullen, age 95, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at Emeritus-Liberal Springs in Liberal, KS. She was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Stafford County, KS, the daughter of George and Alice (Miller) Bailey. She was raised in Hutchinson, KS and has resided in Liberal, KS for the past 61 years. 

She was employed in the food service industry in Liberal for many years. She had been a member of the ELK’s Club. Her many interest included family, sewing, golf and travel. 

On August 24, 1940, she married Lawrence “Larry” McMullen in Great Bend, KS. He died August 23, 1993. 

Survivors include: Two Sons- Richard McMullen and wife Saundra, Colorado Springs, CO; Brian McMullen and wife Liz, Wichita, KS; 

One Brother- B.D. Bailey and wife Carol, Sierra Vista, AZ; 

Six Grandchildren – Dr. Jeffery McMullen and wife Karen, Bloomington, IN; Misty Gordon and husband Dr. Steven, Colorado Springs, CO; Nicolas McMullen, St. Louis, MO; Alison, Margaret and Monica McMullen, Wichita, KS. Two Great Granddaughters, Madison and Megan McMullen, Bloomington, IN. 

She is preceded in death by one Son- Larry McMullen, five Brothers- Frankie, Jack, Jim, George and Jerry Bailey, two Sisters- Letha Barker and Norma Jean Burke. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2014 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. James P. Dieker presiding. Burial will be held at Liberal Cemetery. 

Visitation will be 1 – 8 pm Monday with the family present to greet friends from 6 – 8pm at Brenneman Funeral Home.
