Local students advance to Regional Spelling Bee
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Anna Lobmeyer, Horace Good Middle School 7th grader, took first place at the Finney County Spelling Bee. Alicia Montoya, Kenneth Henderson Middle School 8th grader, took second place at the contest. The top two spellers have advanced to the Regional Spelling Bee that will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, at Fort Hays State University.
The Finney County Spelling Bee was held Saturday, January 27th, in the Garden City High School auditorium. Students that advanced from elementary through middle school spelling bees in Finney County competed in the competition.
