Lizet Ortega

Lizet Ortega, age 16, of Johnson, Kansas died July 23, 2015 at her home in Johnson, Kansas. She was born November 9, 1998 in Sweetwater, Texas the daughter of Misael and Sofia (Murillo) Ortega

Lizet was a student at Stanton County High School. She enjoyed playing volleyball spending time with her family, friends and cousins. She also loved music and attending dances. Lizet was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson. 

Survivors include her parents Misael and Sofia Ortega; two sisters, Angela Michelle Ortega and Valeria Ortega; grandparents, Pedro Murillo and Maria Elena Miranda, and Pedro Ortega and Amelia Robles all of Johnson.

Celebration of Life will be 6:00 PM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Stanton County High School, Johnson, Kansas. Vigil service will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday, July 27, 2015 and funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 both at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson, Kansas with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating. Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015 and Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
