List For Coveted Teaching Award About to Be Trimmed
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) For twenty-one years the Garden City Chamber of Commerce has honored Finney County’s best teachers with the coveted Crystal Apple Award. This year they started with 84 nominees and are about to whittle down their list to 13. Next week Chamber VP Rick Thomeczek says those 13 will be interviewed by a panel.
The presenting sponsor of this award is the Bors Law Firm. Lara Bors is excited about backing this type of award.
When the six finalist are determined they will be observed in class. Winners will be announced at a banquet from the Clarion Inn November 17th.
