Linda Lou Neal
Linda Lou Neal, 69, died October 1, 2016 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on November 15, 1946 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky the daughter of Alfred and Dorothy (Eldridge) Scarberry.
She was raised in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Linda graduated from Wheelersburg High School in 1965 where she was named most outstanding senior and received a scholarship for the award. She went on to further her education at Shawnee State University. Linda worked as a dietary aide in a nursing home in Wheelersburg until her health no longer allowed her to continue her job. She moved to Dodge City to be close to family. Linda helped to care for her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She also loved Elvis Presley’s music and movies and could often be found watching or listening to them while enjoying a Pepsi and a Hershey bar.
Linda is survived by a son, Donald Neal and wife Amy of Wheelersburg, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Thompson and husband Phillip of Dodge City; two granddaughters, Katie Avritt and husband David of Dodge City and Sonja Thompson of Dodge City; two grandsons, Jeremy Neal of Dodge City and Christopher Thompson of Dodge City; as well as several brothers and sisters in Port Smouth, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna Ruth Neal; and several siblings.
No services will be held at this time. There is no visitation as cremation has taken place.
