Linda L. Baier

Linda L. Baier, age 67, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She was born June 21, 1946 at Rocky Ford, Colorado, the daughter of Melvin & Rowena (Skinner) Turner. Linda married James J. Baier on August 1, 1964 at Garden City.

Linda moved to Finney County when she was in the 5th grade. She graduated with the Class of 1964 from Holcomb High School. She worked on the family farm and cleaned houses before becoming the cleaning person at the Finney County Health Department. Her family was most important to her and she was very involved with her family activities. Linda was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.

Survivors include her husband, James J. Baier of their home; 2 sons, Marcus Baier of Garden City, Melvin Baier of Garden City; mother, Rowena Turner of Garden City; sister, Melva Barlow of Inman; 2 grandsons, Reed Baier of Garden City, and Dakota Baier of Garden City.

She was preceded in death by her father, 1 brother- Mike Turner & 1 nephew- Sean Barlow.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Friends Of Lee Richardson Zoo or St Dominic Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
