Liberal takes Scott City Classic in return trip

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Wrestling in the Scott City Wrestling Classic for the first time in a few years, the Liberal Redskins came out on top in the 31st Annual tournament Saturday at Scott Community High School. The Redskins were able to place nine wrestlers, despite not having an individual championship. Leoti-Wichita County was able to move their way to a runner-up finish, thanks to two individual champions in Dylon Niswonger at 113 and Bryce Mason at 182. The Indians placed five kids total. Ulysses had an individual champion in Otto Orosco at 220, and finished fifth as a team, behind five placers, while Scott City finished seventh with three placers and a champion in Warren Kropp at 170. Holcomb finished right behind the Beavers, placing four, with an individual champion at 160 in Erich Eisenbise. Cimarron was ninth with three medalists, Lakin was 12th with two placers, and Greeley County finished in 13th and had one medalist.
