Liberal: Hopeful to Build Tax Base While Easing Burden
Liberal, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Liberal’s recent approval of a 3.8 mill levy tax increase has made city officials look at the big picture. Budget Director Chris Ford is confident even though they needed to make tough decisions this year the future remains bright.
As far as improving the city’s infrastructure needs the funding is in place.
Ford says the state gas tax has also allowed Liberal to be aggressive in what road improvement projects they work on.
