Leroy James Garman, age 85, died Sunday, September 8, 2013 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  Hewas born on April 22, 1928 in Turon, Kansas, the son of Charles C. and Maude E. Ruckman Garman.  Leroy was a WWII US Army veteran serving on Guam.  A  resident of Garden City since 1950, he was a retired Elementary school teacher for USD 457 in Garden City.

He belonged to the Civil Air Patrol, the Kansas National Education Association, the Eagles
Lodge and the VFW all of Garden City.

On December 24, 1951, he married Dolly P. Johnson in Clayton, New Mexico.  She survives.

Two Sons, Clinton Garman of Post Falls, Idaho andOne Daughter, Peggy (& Dean) Stettler of Rathdrum, Idaho; One Brother, Marion (& Kay) Garman of Salina, Kansas and
One Sister, Annabelle Moyer Schwab of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. Robert Wayne (& Karla) Garman of Garden City, Kansas;;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Three Brothers, Leon & Vernon Farmer and John Garman and One Sister, Verda Farmer Dunham.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Church Of The Brethren in Garden City, Kansas.

Friends may call from Noon-8pm on Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.  The family will be in attendance and receive friends from 6-8pm that evening.

Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the to Church or to the Hospice of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
