Leoti man killed in Wichita County crash

WICHITA COUNTY, Kan. — A single-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon has left one dead. The accident occurred just after 3 p.m. on County Road 9, four miles west of Kansas Highway 25.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2003 Chevy Cavalier was headed south bound in the 900 block of County Road 9. The car, driven by Gregory Ray II Martinez, 21, of Leoti left the roadway and then rolled an undetermined amount of times. The KHP said that Martinez was then ejected from his vehicle at that time.

Martinez was not wearing his seat belt. He was taken to the Wichita County Health Center where he was pronounced deceased.
