Leo Allen Davis, age 68, died Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Bivins Pointe in Amarillo, Texas.  He was born July 24, 1951, in Andrews, Texas, the son of Leo A. Davis and Mona Rankin.  

Leo graduated from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Kansas, in 1969. He was involved in a band throughout his high school years called the Malemen. Leo joined the United States Navy in August 1969 where he served for three years with an honorable discharge. He then continued his education at Hutchinson Community College with an Associate Degree in Arts. Leo had many passions in life which included: Playing Drums, Gardening, Music, Joke Telling, but was most passionate about his Pottery. 

Leo was involved with Kiwanis, worked for the City of Elkhart, and was well known throughout the community. He will be greatly missed.

He leaves his wife of 50 years Teresa Davis; one sister Shelia Easery; four daughters Becky Fleming, Julie Wright, Dana Swayden, and Susie Bitner; 11 grandchildren Payton Fleming, Garrett Davis, Madison Gwin, Brett Bitner, Bailey Bitner, Landon Wright, Parker Fleming, Callie Wright, Ella Swayden, Davis Swayden, and Mason Wright.

Leo is preceded in death by his father Leo A. Davis; mother Mona Rankin; grandfather Briggs Holman; and grandmother Bernice Holman.

Graveside service, with military rites by Point Rock Post #3162, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas, and on Garnand Funeral Homes facebook page with Reverend Terrell Giddens officiating.  Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be given to Whistle Stop Park in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.  Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
