Lebo takes Scott City Invitational title

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–As the volleyball season turns to the final month, the Scott City Invitational took place on Saturday at the Scott Community Events Center. For the second time in three seasons, it would be the Lebo Lady Wolves who would win the tournament tile, going 5-0 on the day, and dropped just two sets. Lebo came in ranked No. 2 in Class 1A, Division II, as they swept Lakin, Scott City and Wheatland/Grinnell. Norton came in second, while Colby was third.

Scott City was able to pick up a win after struggling at times against the top four teams. The would put up a fight against Colby, Lakin, Norton and Lebo, but had stretches where they saw their opponent make a run that was too much to overcome. Their final match of the day saw them never trail against the Lady Thunderhawks, as they swept them in two sets.
