Lazaro Aguirre E.

Lazaro Aguirre E., age 77, of Ulysses, Kansas died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born December 17, 1935 in Julimes County Chihuahua Mexico, the son of Aniseto and Dolores (Esparza) Aguirre.

Lazaro, a farmer, grew up in Mexico. He married Socorro Meza on October 28, 1959 in Mexico. He and his wife moved to Ulysses four months ago. Lazaro loved working and baseball. He is survived by his wife, Socorro of their home; children, Rita Alvarado of Ulysses, Kansas, Carlos Aguirre of Woodward, Oklahoma, Patricia Rojas of Woodward, Oklahoma, Marla Chaparro of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lazaro Aguirre, Jr. of Woodward, Oklahoma; sisters, Otilia Ochoa of Chihuahua Mexico, Santos Aguirre E. of Arizona; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lazaro is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Juana Aguirre; sister, Catalina Carrasco; and brother, Juan Jose Aguirre E.

Visitation: 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 03, 2013 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 04, 2013 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating.

Interment: Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas.

Rosary and vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas.
