Layoffs at Cargill in Dodge City
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) According to a written release emailed to the media Cargill is laying off an undetermined amount of workers at its plant in Dodge City. Company spokesman Mark Klein says that their workforce is expected to stay “well above” 2,000. The company points to tightening beef supplies while cattle herd begins to rebuild after drought conditions. The latest move will only affect the Dodge City Cargill Plant.
