Law in search of a new defensive coordinator

Dodge City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-Todd Middleton was just waiting for another opportunity to coach at the college level. That wait is officially over. 

On Monday, the Law defensive coordinator accepted a full-time position with Hutchinson Community College-leaving Dodge City to make a switch on that side of the ball for the second time in a month. 

“It was just a great opportunity,” Middleton said. “You’re talking about one of the most prestigious community college programs in the country.”

Middleton’s resume is pretty impressive including stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the University of Kansas. He spent the 2013 season as an assistant at Dodge City Community College. 

The Law is bringing in former NFL player Ed Flanagan, who played for the Detroit Lion and the San Diego Chargers. 

Demetrius Ross, who began the season as the team’s defensive coordinator, resigned following the team’s victory over Kansas on April 26.
