Larsen claims city crown
Garden City, KS-Taylor Larsen fulfilled a lifelong goal.
The former Buffalo high school star, posted a two-round, 140 to win his first City Championship over the weekend at Buffalo Dunes.
Larsen shot 2-under on Sunday after firing a 1-under, 70 at Southwind on Saturday.
His former high school teammate, Sion Audrain, finished three strokes back. He shot rounds of 72 and 71, while local dentist Grant Vollertsen was 143 for the tournament. Logan Durst finished fifth.
Garden City Community College golfer Jake Bay was sixth, but shot the low round for the tournament, carding a 65 on Sunday.
