Bridgeport, WV (westernkansasnews.com)-On his final day on the east coast, Garden City’s Taylor Larsen hoped a strong finish would put him back in contention. But one of the best amateur players in Kansas found himself finishing tied for 25th place at the Big I National Championships.

“A couple of bad shots can ruin your round,” Larsen said. “You just try and hit fairways and greens. But those shots cost me.”

Larsen started the final parring the first two holes. But he bogeyed three out the next six holes to finish the front nine five over.

His best stretch came on the back nine-where Larsen birdied 16 and played even on the other eight holes.

Keenan Huskey from Greenville, SC. took home first place-firing a three under par. His final-round 69 made him the only player in the field to shoot under par.
