Lakin girl killed in Gray Co. Accident

Gray County, KS(westernkansasnews.com) An 11 year old Lakin girl was killed in a two vehicle accident in Gray County Saturday morning.

At 7:50 a.m. on U56 K23 Junction. (alt-5 miles east of Montezuma.) Vehicle 1 was southbound on K23. Vehicle 2 was eastbound on U56. Vehicle 1 failed to stop at the stop sign, entered the intersection, and was struck by Vehicle 2. Both vehicles came to rest in the southeast ditch.

The girl was pronounced dead at 9:18 a.m. at Western Plains Regional Hospital. The driver of vehicle 1 and the both occupants of vehicle two were taken to the hospital with injuries.
