Junior pitcher Korie Thornton shut down the Lady Redskins allowing only 2 hits that included a solo home run by Liberal senior pitcher Jaycee Darroch in the top of the 4th making the score 11-1 and then Thornton took the Lady Redskins down in order in the top of the 5th to claim her 2nd win on the young season. It was deja vu for game two with the Lady Buffs exploding for 9 runs in the bottom of the first on six hits and added 10 more in the bottom of the 2nd for their total of 19 runs off of 13 hits and no errors. Junior Leslie Ford pitched her first no-hitter on the season and evened her record a 2-2 with a dominating performance, striking out five of the nine batters she faced over the two and one half innings.
