Kids Under 12 “Score With the Busters” on Saturday’s Home Game vs Cisco Texas

Garden City, KS – Southwest Kansas kids can get in on some excitement and action at the end zone when the Garden City Community College Broncbusters host their opening home football game of the 2012 season Saturday evening at Memorial Stadium. GCCC with be conducting “Score with the Busters” during half-time of the Sept. 1 match-up with Cisco, Texas. All youngsters age 12 and under are invited to participate in the event, which will take place at the west end of the field. With GCCC team members assisting, participants can take part in two sets of special drills, one involving the chance to run the ball through a pre-set course to score a touchdown, and the other offering the chance to catch a touchdown pass from a Buster quarterback. “This is just one way that we can offer some family-friendly fun during half-time, and make our home opener even more exciting for everyone who comes out to support the Busters and help us launch the season,” said Bob Larson, coordinator of athletic activities. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with the gates opening at 5:30 p.m. General admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children. Admission is free to children wearing GCCC Broncbuster Buddy Day T-shirts, as well as GCCC all-sport ticket holders and those with valid GCCC student IDs.
