KHP: Wichita County Accident Victim Dies
Leoti, KS (westernkansasnews.com) An accident at 3:30 Sunday morning has claimed the life of a 22 year old man from Leoti. State troopers report Blake Nickelson of Leoti was the passenger in a Dodge Ram truck when the driver identified as 24 year old Michael Beaver of Scott City missed the turned on Wichita County Road 18 and Adobe Road, twenty miles north of Leoti.
In attempts to overcorrect, the truck went into a ditch and flipped over. Nickelson died at the scene. Beaver and another passenger 23 year old Lauren Apperson of Scott City have been taken to Wichita County Health Center. No word at this time on their condition.
