KHP: A Woman From Lakin Dies in Accident Wednesday Morning
Deerfield, KS (westernkansasnews.com) State troopers report a 22 year old woman from Lakin has been killed in an accident Wednesday morning around 8:15 on US Highway 50, three miles east of Deerfield.
The driver of a Kenworth semi was stopped making a left turn when the fatality victim Madison Bemis driving a Chrysler plowed into the back of the semi. Bemis died a couple of hour later while being treated at St. Catherine Hospital.
