The Key to Red Demon Offense Rests with Experienced Quarterback

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Dodge City High School Red Demon football team has all the makings of a good offense this year that is capable of putting up a lot of points. Offensive Coordinator Mark Sandbo is glad to have a guy like senior returning quarterback Caden Walters at the controls.

Walters completed 59 percent of his passes for almost 2300 yards.  He added 18 touchdown passes while throwing seven interceptions.  The problem many defenses will face is Walters possesses a dual threat of run and pass.

Walters rushed for 540 yards and 12 touchdowns last year, but he will have some help in the backfield from senior running back Tyler Trent a back that had 449 yards and averaged 4.6 yards an attempt last year while scoring six touchdowns. 

Dodge City is doing all the little things to fine tune their offense before the September 4 season opener at Wichita West.
