Kenneth L. Fyler, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at his home in Scott City, Kansas.  He was born on March 3, 1924 in McCracken, Kansas, the son of William Haynes and Blanche Elizabeth Folsom Fyler.  A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1947 moving from Bison, Kansas, he was the Owner and Operator of Dairy Queen since 1948.  
 
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW, Scott City Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge #284, Lions Club and Eastern Star all of Scott City, Kansas.  Kenneth was a US Army Veteran serving in both World War II and the Korean Conflict.
 
On September 27, 1943 he married Vera Alberta Schlegel in Bison, Kansas.  She passed away on October 18, 2008 in Scott City, Kansas.
 
Survivors included his Three Sons – Kenneth Jr. & Charlene Fyler of Wichita, Kansas, Michael & Melinda Fyler of McPherson, Kansas,  Steven & Loretta Fyler of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters – Joyce & Dean Buchholz of California, Beverly Steitz of Elkhart, Kansas, Fourteen Grandchildren, Forty Four Great Grandchildren, and Twelve Great Great Grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife – Vera, Two Brothers and One Sister.
 
Due to the current virus situation, Private Family Graveside services will be held
later this week with Rev. Larry Danforth presiding.
 
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. 
 
Memorials In Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Scott County Shrine Club, Scott County VIP Center or the United Methodist Church in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
