Kenneth grew up in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. He served in the United States Army where he was a E2 PVT and received the Sharpshooter Medal and National Defense Service Medal while being stationed in Germany as a tank driver. After his discharge he moved around the country doing different kinds of jobs. In 1977 he moved to Kansas and worked many years for Eveleigh Farms in Grant County as a farm hand. He currently was a truck driver for Southwest Express of Hugoton and received his two million mile safe driving award in 2013. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting and attending rodeos. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Brothers- Vincent Charles & James Gilbert, 1 Sister- Donna Martin & his In-Laws Ramon & Carrie Mondragon.
