Keep Dodge City Beautiful Schedules Great American Cleanup Projects

Dodge City, KS–Keep Dodge City Beautiful has partnered with several organizations to host Great American Cleanup events on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The safe disposal of household hazardous waste will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jane Longmeyer Recycling Building, 124 N 14th Ave. Bring your unwanted paint products, automotive products, pesticides, herbicides, batteries, etc. – anything flammable and poisonous that you no longer need. Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 10972 113 Rd. Call (620) 227-4525 if you need further information.
At the same time, Community Recycling Environmental Waste, partnering with Archway Recycling, will accept old electronics (E-Waste): computers, VCRs, phones, desktop copiers/printers, scanners, and flat-screen monitors.
The Ford County Humane Society will be accepting donations of good condition and clean pet crates, beds, towels, blankets, leashes, collars, food bowls, and food.
The Dodge City Police Department will also be available to accept unwanted/outdated prescription medications from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The service is free and anonymous; no questions asked.
Keep Dodge City Beautiful hopes that everyone will take this special Saturday opportunity to clean their property and safely dispose of the items with these sponsors. For additional information, contact Corey Keller, Keep Dodge City Beautiful Coordinator, at (620) 225-8170.
