KDOT to host a public meeting on K-156 improvements in Kalvesta

The public is invited to attend a meeting on K-156 Pavement Widening and Bridge Replacement Project in Finney County on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Kalvesta Methodist Church, 32740 E K-156, in Kalvesta. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is hosting the event.
KDOT is investing over $100 million to enhance highway infrastructure in Finney and Hodgeman counties to help address safety concerns and foster economic growth in the region. Ongoing work includes a pavement widening project along K-156, which begins four miles west of Jetmore and extends eastbound for 15 miles to 228 Road, located north of Hanston. The meeting will also cover traffic impacts related to this development in Hodgeman County.
A brief presentation on the project will begin at 5:30 p.m. KDOT staff will be present to discuss projects and answer questions. Handouts will also be available.
