KDOT Takes Different Approach on Two Different Projects
Scott City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) KDOT is accustomed to handling road projects that generate some controversy. K-96 through Scott City has drawn particular interest and the idea drew some negative feedback.
KDOT spokesman Kirk Hutchinson says that idea has been scrapped based on the amount of feedback they have received. There is another project where road crews did consolidate lanes.
Hutchinson explains sometimes KDOT has to turned down requested changes for safety reasons.
