KCSL Red Stocking Breakfast Returns!
Kansas Children’s Service League proudly brings you the return of the Red Stocking Breakfast, Sunday, December 1, 2019, at the Clarion Inn. Breakfast will be served at 11:00 and will run until 2:00. The Red Stocking Breakfast is KCSL’s signature fundraising event. All funds benefit the Head Start/Early Head Start programs in Finney County. Tickets are available online at tiny.cc/rsbtix.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Children 10 and under eat free.
Tickets will be available for pick up on November 1st at the Kansas Children’s Service League office at 2111 E. Labrador.
During Red Stocking Breakfast, KCSL will honor Sergeant Lana Urteaga and her husband Frank for the work they do on behalf of KCSL and the Garden City community. Lana writes, “Being in law enforcement, I would have to say what stands out the most is how important early childhood development is and being able to understand trauma at an early age. KCSL does amazing work with understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences and how that applies to child behavior. Some behaviors not identified early may lead to crime later if intervention is not there. KCSL is a great asset to have in our community for children and families.”
